Hi, I’m Tina. I’m here to help you tap into your inner resources and find the steps toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. I offer solution-focused hypnotherapy sessions both face-to-face in Johnstown near Wrexham and online in the comfort of your own home.
I’m a Member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy, and I hold a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) and a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) from Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training. With over 25 years of experience as a practicing Mental Health Nurse (Diploma and BSc Hons), I’m dedicated to supporting you on your journey.
At Wrexham Hypnotherapy, we focus on what’s working, not what’s wrong. Using a modern, neuroscience-based approach, I help you take control of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, so you can move forward with confidence.
Solution-focused hypnotherapy isn’t about reliving the past, it’s about rewiring your brain to create the future you want. In a relaxed and supportive space, I’ll guide you in shifting your perspective, making use of the brain’s natural ability to change.
With over 25 years of experience in mental health, I bring a deep understanding of how the brain works and how we can use that knowledge to make lasting, positive change.
Discover Your True Potential
Every thought you have shaped your reality. By focusing on solutions rather than problems, we help your brain form new, helpful patterns. Whether you’re looking to reduce anxiety, manage stress, or build confidence, I’ll help you develop the tools to get there, often seeing progress in just a few weeks.
The best part? You already have everything you need to change. It’s your mind, I just help you use it to its full potential.
Choosing Wrexham Hypnotherapy means you’re taking a positive step towards the future you want, harnessing the brain’s natural ability to adapt and thrive. Solution-focused Hypnotherapy helps you move forward by building on your strengths, encouraging beneficial neural pathways, and creating lasting, positive change.
Through modern neuroscience, we understand that the brain is constantly rewiring itself based on our thoughts and experiences. When we focus on solutions rather than problems, we strengthen the networks associated with confidence, resilience, and well-being. This process not only helps you feel better in the present but also builds a mindset that supports long-term success.
Our initial consultation is a chance to explore how the brain works in relation to your experiences and why small shifts in thought patterns can lead to significant improvements. You’ll gain insight into how stress and anxiety develop, and, more importantly, how we can retrain the brain to work for you rather than against you. By focusing on what’s possible, we’ll set clear goals that align with the life you’d like to create.
Change happens when we create the right conditions for the brain to succeed. The more we engage with positive actions and thoughts, the more we reinforce the patterns that lead to progress. Are you ready to take that step? Your journey starts here, and I look forward to supporting you every step of the way.
Experience the Benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
Reducing Anxiety and Stress: Solution-focused hypnotherapy helps you reduce anxiety and stress by focusing on positive changes and identifying solutions to move towards your future goals. Through calming the mind and promoting relaxation, the gentle guidance of trance allows your goals to settle into your subconscious mind.
Breaking Negative Thought Patterns: By concentrating on solutions rather than problems, solution-focused hypnotherapy disrupts negative cycles, encourages positive thinking, and cultivates a solution-focused mindset. Just like Jane mentioned in her testimony, I can support you in breaking free from negative forecasting.
Improving Sleep: Solution-focused hypnotherapy techniques can enhance sleep quality and address insomnia by mirroring the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) state during sleep. This process helps empty your metaphoric stress bucket, promoting deep relaxation. Harriet’s testimony highlights how I supported her in improving the length and quality of her sleep.
Managing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Solution-focused hypnotherapy is particularly beneficial for managing PTSD. It combines talking therapy with a relaxed state achieved through trance, guiding you to improve symptoms and daily life without regression or reliving past trauma. This approach helps you find solutions and break negative cycles. Janet’s remarkable improvement in just a short time is a testament to the power of this approach, as you can see from her testimony.
Managing Obsessional Thinking: Solution-focused hypnotherapy is particularly effective in treating obsessional thinking by gently guiding your thoughts away from problems and towards solutions. By imagining life without the problem, your brain starts to cultivate that new reality. This empowers you to break the cycle of obsessive thinking, as Rhys mentions in his heartfelt testimony.
Enhancing Relationships: Solution-focused hypnotherapy can also greatly benefit relationships by equipping you with the tools to regulate your emotions effectively. Neuroscience shows that the limbic system plays a key role in processing and regulating emotions, helping you take control of your feelings. By managing stress and anxiety, you can promote a more relaxed way of being, which supports positive interactions. Just like Ed shares in his testimony, solution-focused hypnotherapy made a significant difference in his relationships.
Tina educated me about the brain and how every negative thought is converted into stress and anxiety, which is stored in the stress bucket, and recognized how I was caught up in a negative cycle. She has provided me with the knowledge to enabled me to break free of my negative thought patterns and I have made positive changes in my life. I feel so much happier within myself and my life. Thank you Tina, keep up with the good work. Jane
When I went to see Tina I was struggling with obsessional thoughts and negative forecasting about the future, which was making me feel consumed and I felt stressed with poor sleep. Tina helped me understand that I was functioning in my primitive brain where I was encouraged to be negative and obsessional. Tina educated me about how to create positive neurotransmitters and how to empty my stress bucket. I am now in a good place, sleeping well and feel much more confident. I would recommend Tina. Rhys
I hoped to achieve better sleep, as I had experienced disturbed sleep for many years, leaving me feeling exhausted and stressed. Working with Tina I achieved my goal, sleeping more deeply and for longer, which I feel energized, motivated and positive. And most importantly I am not filling my stress bucket up so I continue to sleep. I have recommended Tina to others and will continue to do so. Harriet
I achieved my goal and more
I went to see Tina for help to feel more relaxed in life and live more in the moment and not worry so much about the future. Well I have achieved that and much more because now I enjoy my life more and have better relationships. I am aware when I’m being triggered and going into my primitive brain, which is okay because I no longer stay there. I would recommend Tina and solution focused hypnotherapy. Ed
I went through Tina’s door feeling desperate, broken, confused and scared. Scared because I’m usually in control, happy and positive but life’s happenings took me to another place, a place I couldn’t understand or come out of. SFH has shown me how to understand and control my thoughts and put things into perspective of why I was feeling the way I was, Tina has given me the tools to take away,
I have and will continue to use them when ever my thoughts try to take me else where. Ten minutes with my GP and I was diagnosed with PTSD and given addictive medication, which exasperated my thoughts, I made my mind up to see Tina and it was the best decision. After 6 weeks I felt free, lighter and that big fog around me had lifted and most importantly with no medication brought me to this stage, SFH did. Thank you Tina again for helping me feel me again. 1. "Is solution-focused hypnotherapy suitable for everyone?"
SFH is generally suitable for most individuals. However, it's essential to consult with a qualified therapist to assess your specific needs and circumstances.
2. "What kind of things can solution-focused hypnotherapy help with?"
SFH can assist with various issues, including stress, anxiety, phobias, weight management, smoking cessation, and improving sleep. It focuses on positive outcomes and solutions rather than dwelling on problems.
3. "What happens during a typical SFH session?"
In a session, you'll discuss your goals and desired outcomes. The therapist will guide you into a relaxed state (trance) using gentle relaxation techniques. During this state, positive suggestions and visualizations are used to reinforce your desired changes.
4. "How does solution-focused hypnotherapy differ from traditional therapy?"
Unlike traditional therapy, which often delves into past issues and explores problems, SFH concentrates on your desired future outcomes. It emphasizes practical strategies and positive changes, making it more goal-oriented and person-centered.
5. "What happens in trance?"
Trance in SFH is a natural and safe state, and therapists work collaboratively with clients to achieve positive results. At the end of the session the therapist will play relaxing background music and gently guide you into a relaxed state, which is known as trance. In this daydream-like state, your subconscious mind can reflect on the ideas discussed and focus on finding positive solutions. Trance is a natural and safe state, where you remain in control and process helpful suggestions without any mind control.
6. "How many sessions does it take?"
Typically it can take 8 to 12 sessions. However, the exact number may vary based on the complexity of the challenges or sometimes change can happen more quickly with most clients achieving their desired results in just 6 sessions. Phobias tend to be 3 sessions, plus the initial consultation.
